- Vibrating to the tunes and accents of southwest of FRANCE(www.midipy.visite.org), between TOULOUSE (45mn drive), MONTAUBAN (30mn) , AGEN (25mn) and CAHORS (50mn), you can found our home stands in St Nicolas de la Grave., where Cadillac, the men after whom the famous car was named, was born, heart of a green and fragrant land, a place of good food and drink, in the department of TARN ET GARONNE..
- Situated at a point where the Garonne and the Tarn meet, and 1 km of the village SAINT NICOLAS DE LA GRAVE, at the first floor , a room is waitting you in the calm and green jewelcase bathed in sunlight.
- You will find a very confortable bedroom with a king size bed (160), including a bathroom with a sink, a shower and a toilet. A baby bed is available upon request and also highchair are provided for those travelling with a baby.
- From your room, you can see the garden , the countryside and the swimming-pool(5m/10m).You can swim from the month of May throughout to the month of October (depending of the weather).
- Leisure activities. Various excursions among the hills of Lomagne, the Causses du Quercy and the sloping hillsides of the Aveyron which blend touristic delights with gastronomy.
The Middle Ages revive in the village Saint-Nicolas de la Grave, where you can visit both a twelfth century church and the castle of Richard Lionheart. Further you will find the museum of Lamothe-Cadillac, founder of the city of Detroit in the U.S.A. and name giver to the well known car brand. At less than two kilometers there is the “Plan d’eau” offering you the opportunity to walk, swim, horse ride, go sailing or canoe. Within a ten-minutes-drive you will arrive in Moissac, which accommodates a Roman monastery.
The Tarn-et-garonne, a holiday place par excellence, welcomes you with its heritage of Romanesque art, its varied flavours, its nature sports and its museums. You can discover castles, churches, old houses and abbeys, in every nook and corner. Historically, the aera has much to offer including medievals towns as MOISSAC (cloister), AUVILLAR, MONTAUBAN Ingres and Bourdelle museum),LAUZERTE, Montricoux (Marcel Lenoir museum), St Antonin and BRUNIQUEL, .Castle including BIOULE, BRASSAC, GOUDOURVILLE and GRAMONT (gothic masion and renaissance wing inspired by italian taste make up the two parts of this original residence. Notable for the ribbed vaulting over the staircase and a small oratory.), ALBI (81) with Toulouse-Lautrec museum. We are on the road of the piligrim of ST JACQUES DE COMPOSTELLE, and you can do also location of boats for travel on the Canal. Lalbenque with its world famous truffle market, the pisturesque fowl market in CAUSSADE, concerts and shows are organised everywhere in summer, among the numerous sporting activites in the region, you can found : Canoes and kayaks in St Antonin and Cazals, rafting down the magnificent gorges of the Aveyron, parachute jumping in Bouloc, barge trips down the Canal des deux mers, fishing, speleology (Rocamadour), tennis (1km), hiking,, cross country cycling, guided visits in Montauban, flying above the hills of the Bas Quercy in montgolfières from Lamothe-Capdeville. Our Home is set at 1km of the village of St. Nicolas de la Grave in the Midi-Pyrénées region of France. The village lies in the valley close to the Garonne river. There are plenty of facilities for water sports and fishing. | |

Secluded, but not isolated, Blue Room is set in 6 acres of rolling meadow and woodland. From Blue Room you can overlook the pool and one of the beautiful valleys which lie near the river Tarn. This is the perfect place in which to recline with a book, set up your easel or enjoy the company of a few like-minded people. Breakfast, including a selection of croissants, baguettes, jams, yogurts, cereals and fruits in served in the dinning-room or in high season on the terrace. For those that simply do not want to leave during the day - we can also provide a snack lunch and refreshments. Tea and coffee making facilities are available, all day, in the dinning-room along with cold drinks. Blue Room is situated close to the tiny village of St Nicolas de la Grave, which has a small shop, baker's shop and tennis court. The village is situated in one of many beautiful valleys in this area - with an abundance of oak woods and fruit and flower growing. The area is famous for its production of melons, plums, nectarines, grapes, sunflowers and cherries. The medieval villages of Lauzerte (often referred to as the Toledo of Quercy) and Montaigu de Quercy (site of 12th century castle and with lovely bathing lake/water sports) are both about 20km away and offer delightful places to visit along with a range of local services and restaurants/bars and local markets. Montcuq with its famous 12th century tower, exquisite bathing lake and colourful Sunday market is about 25km away, whilst Cahor and the surrounding vineyards make a lovely day trip. Moissac, a bustling town with lively weekend markets and famous Abbey and Cloisters are about 10 minutes drive away. Other places worth a visit include Penne and Tournon D'Agenais, Villeneuve-sur-Lot, Puy-L'Eveque, the caves at Pech Merle and St. Cirq Lapopie. |

St Nicolas De La Grave is a sizeable village 8 km west of Moissac near the River Garonne.
- From the A62 Autoroute (motorway) exit junction 9 "Moissac/Castelsarrasin".
- After the toll booth, take third main exit (be careful because there is an small exit just before the main one to Lidl supermarket).
- Take the main road toward Moissac. Continue for 5 km (passing Leclerc supermarket RHS) towards a roundabout - take second exit (straight over) towards Moissac.
- Cross the large Napoleonic Bridge (River Tarn) and the small midi canal bridge towards main traffic lights.
- At the Traffic lights, continue straight on (this is now the outskirts of Moissac).
After 150 m, follow the left hand bend (direction Agen). - Continue along this road paralleling the canal and river for 4.3 km.
- Pass under a railway bridge and continue 2 km and follow the sign "St. Nicolas de La Grave" - this is a left descending turn.
- Take care crossing the narrow bridge over the Garonne and continue along the straight road towards St. Nicolas, for a distance of 3.5km.
- Immediately in front of the church, turn right and continue for 300 m to a small roundabout. ( The Cadillac restaurant is on the left hand side at this roundabout)
- Continue along the straight road towards MALAUSE during 1km and as can be seen in the pictures in this website.

  By car, take the motorway Toulouse-Bordeaux (45 mn from Toulouse) exit CASTELSARRASIN (N°9),direction MOISSAC, AGEN. After 8km of MOISSAC, you turn on the left, crossed Canal and Garonne. In St Nicolas, you turn on the right direction MALAUSE. After 1km our white house on the right in front of funerary VIGNOLLES. From Bordeaux (1h3Omn). Exit at the exit Valence d'Agen(N°8). As of the exit of the motorway a sign will indicate you in direction of Valence d'Agen. When you arrived at Valence d'Agen after having crossed the Garonne, a crossing located on the RN113 Direction Malause and after turn on the right over the new bridge direction St Nicolas de la Grave. Our white-house on the left with the pool, in front of funerary Ets. VIGNOLLES . |
